Hi, I’m Ashley.

I’m an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with a background in psychology, neuroscience and behaviour. I work with thoughtful, driven women, and with people in organizations around the world, to change the patterns that keep them stretched too thin, so they have the time and headspace for the work they’re best at, and a life outside of it.

My psychology background means I understand the emotional side of why you’re stuck. My corporate years mean I understand the reality of your work. Coaching is where the two come together, so you don’t just understand the pattern, you actually change it.

I’ve been the woman who couldn’t switch off.

My story

I studied psychology, neuroscience and behaviour at university, but my career took me into marketing and advertising. In 2018, I moved from Toronto to London to head up the UK content creation studio for THP, a creative production agency later acquired by Tag (now part of dentsu). I loved my job and was proud of what we were building.

I was also going to bed thinking about work, waking up thinking about work, and checking my email constantly. My husband would often look at me and ask, “Where are you?” And I’d realize I hadn’t heard a word he’d said. From the outside, I looked calm and completely in control. On the inside, I was running on fear, pressure and worry, and I couldn’t have told you why.

Working with a coach helped me see that pattern and start to change it. I learned to trust other people, let good work be good enough, and make room for the parts of my life that had nothing to do with work. And I actually did better work. It also stirred up a feeling I couldn’t shake: I missed psychology, and I wanted to be the one helping people through whatever was holding them back.

Then, not long after we moved to England, I lost my dad suddenly. It shook everything I thought I knew and showed me how fragile life is. None of us know how much time we have. I didn’t want to wait any longer to do the work I love most: helping people move through the messy parts of life, break out of old patterns and see that they can work and live differently.

In 2020, I trained as a coach. Today, I coach women and leaders in organizations around the world, through my own practice and alongside leading coaching companies, where I’ve also helped build and supervise teams of coaches and develop the coaching methodology they use.

Becoming a mom has been one of the biggest shifts of my life. It’s given me a real understanding of the realities of working life as a parent, and it’s shown me how precious the hours with my son are. I want to build a career around my life, not a life around my career, and I love helping other moms and parents do the same. I’ve had to learn a lot of this all over again, but I recognize the pattern much sooner now.

Why I do what I do

Most of the women I work with learned this early.

Being the reliable one, the capable one, the one who always says yes. It probably helped you get where you are. But at some point, the way that served you starts to cost you: your energy, your relationships, your peace, and the work you actually want to be doing.

You don’t need to want less. You just need a way of getting there that doesn’t cost you everything.

How I coach

I’m in the work with you.

You already know yourself. You’ve read the books, maybe done therapy, and you can probably name your patterns. The hard part is actually changing them while everything keeps moving.

That’s where I come in. We work on the practical side, like how you plan your week, delegate and handle the hard conversations, and the emotional side underneath it, like the perfectionism and the guilt when you say no. Practical changes only stick when both shift.

“Ashley has a way of asking the really hard questions, but making them feel easy.”

Amanda, Operations Manager, London, UK
